Jordanl@mail.utexas.eduI created this journal to help me practice my Japanese. I've only been studying Japanese for a year, so by all means leave a comment about any mistakes you find.
I write primarily in polite form for two reasons. First, it's what I'm used to using in class. Second, despite what I thought initially, polite form IS really important, and I'm finding it easier to learn things in plain form after learning them in polite form.
I also don't know that many kanji, so occasionally it may be hard to catch exactly what I'm trying to say. For this purpose, I'll translate my entries into English after I write them into Japanese. This helps me with my translation skills, and it also helps those who are trying to read this journal because they'll have a reference incase my grammar is sketchy or I make a mistake.
Hopefully one day I'll be able to translate this blurb into Japanese. ^^ Once again, feel free to read this an leave tips on how I can improve! Also, you can leave comments in Japanese asking about my entries, and I'll do my best to respond. ^_- Also be sure to check out my English LJ at
